Good news for the Galaxy Tab owners in South Korea as Samsung has released the firmware update for its first Android-powered tablet. The new software is available for all versions of the device, which includes Galaxy Tab on SK Telecom, KT and LG U+.
After the update, your 7-inch tablet will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread, which packs tons of improvements, including better/easier Copy/Paste functionality.
In order to get Gingerbread on your Tab, you’ll have to download the Samsung Kies software first. Then check for software updates and “push the button.” Make sure to backup all of your PIM data first, just in case something (God forbids) goes wrong.
Now we hope that Galaxy Tab owners in the other parts of the world (where the update has still not been released) won’t have to wait for too long to get their Gingerbread fix, as well…
