Google Maps team has just released the latest version of Google Maps for Android smartphones. The latest version of this app, v5.4.0 brings several improvements.

Here’s the official changelog Google Maps v5.4.0 for Android devices ;

1. View your Google Maps searches in Google Web History for your account.
2. See additional business details for each search result on the map
3. Report “destination not here” in Navigation.

For the third point, destination not here feature is still on Beta version (under development).

The latest version of Google Maps for Android devices can be downloaded for free from the Android Market. The app is compatible with Android 1.6 or higher.
